More than 70 colleges typically offer free summer and fall visits for under-represented and diverse students. Sadly, Covid prompted colleges to postpone or alter Fall programs. Fall is more fluid, and we will update the live, hybrid, or virtual programs, colleges are offering. We list all that we can find by providing the program and application dates and links to applications. If we provide a D , trip is for first gen students. We also give you an estimated GPA and test scores for each college.

Donald Williams, who witnessed George Floyd's death and whose testimony could be critical in the murder trial of Derek Chauvin, lived in Rochester for nearly two years as a Rochester Community and Technical College student. On Wednesday, Judge Peter Cahill ruled that Williams, one of the most vocal people in the group urging police to relent in their handling of Floyd, can testify about his mixed-marital arts training and experience. In a brief interview with the PB, Williams said he could not discuss the case or the role he might play as a witness in the case. Williams said he came to Rochester to wrestle, but his life ended up taking a detour. After he left Rochester, he went into martial arts and trained as an MMA fighter. Williams, wearing a black "Northside Boxing Club" sweatshirt, was among those who pleaded with police on May 25, , as Chauvin pressed his knee on Floyd's back while three other Minneapolis officers stood by.

A complaint filed Friday in the 3rd Judicial Court alleges Minneapolis-based Collaborative Design Group breached its contract with the city by failing to meet expectations in designing the parking structure to eventually include housing added to the top of it. City says more study needed. It is assumed that wind loads on the vertical addition will be resisted by new shear walls or braced frames that extend to the base of the building. Paul-based Common Bond Communities to build eight floors of housing on top of the ramp, but two months later it was reported in a public meeting that additional design and engineering work could be required. The court documents state city officials met with Collaborative Design Group in an attempt to mediate the dispute, but no resolution was reached.
