Ousted ex-University of South Carolina President Bob Caslen sparked controversy after he copied the remarks made by retired Admiral William McRaven during a commencement address at graduation ceremonies last week. During the speech on May 7, Caslen made matters worse by referring to his school as 'the University of California ', a blunder which caused the crowd to audibly gasp. The damning mistakes made during the speech at the university's Williams-Brice Stadium sparked anger among the audience, with many calling for his resignation.
