My first trip to Japan and I had no idea what to expect, but at the same time I expected everything. This was my fourth attempt of going to Japan. I had tried many other times through various means such as competitions, or cultural enrichment programs. Now I was on one of the biggest trips I could imagine courtesy of the Hiroshima Kenjin Kai, a group that was. Professors and students travelled to the historic city of Kyoto and the modern metropolis of Osaka in addition to day trips to the smaller cities of Nara and Uji. While in Japan, the class visited World Heritage Sites and studied firsthand Japanese cultural and religious practices and architecture.
It was quiet. Everyone around me was fast asleep in their seats. The steward and stewardess was walking isle to isle, to see if all the passengers are all seated before they too go to rest their eyes. I looked at my watch and it is already 5.
